[ome-users] Insight client scripts and bugs

Hi Laurent

The text field will only show part of the name but the value should be considered when creating the file
If you have a “path” in the figure name e.g. Good/test/figure.jpg. The Good/test is truncated

Unfortunately the UI widget does not handle multiple lines or font size

Cheers
Jmarie

Hi Jean-Marie,

Ok that makes sense, thanks a lot :).

Last question, using the Split View Figure script, if the name is too long it will not show completely and will erase both the beginning and the end since it doesn't fit.

Is there a way to put it on multiple lines/change the font size ?

Thanks again.

Best,

Hi Laurent

Thanks for the information
For ROI Split Figure script, it is installed. It is just not enabled in OMERO.web for legacy reason
At the time, we were trying to keep both OMERO.insight and OMERO.web in synch and we did not have a customised UI for that script in Web
We will need to revisit that.

Jmarie

Hi Jean-Marie,

Indeed, the Split View Figure is there, I'm not sure how I missed it..
About the ROI Split Figure script, is it not working on web or did we just not installed it ?

As for the Split View Figure script, it seems to be working on the web client on images giving weird LUT on the desktop client. Just thought that would help.

Thanks again !

Hi Laurent

Thanks for providing the OMERO version
The scripts mentioned should be installed by default unless you have decided not to installed them.
Looking at the screenshots you sent previously, the scripts have been installed

Split View Figure is available from both OMERO.insight and OMERO.web (“grid like” icon on right-hand panel/General tab)
ROISplit Figure is not available from OMERO.web but should be accessible from OMERO.insight (“grid like” icon on right-hand panel/General tab)

Cheers

Hi Jean-Marie,

Thanks for the answer.

We have some scripts installed in OMERO right now but not the Split View Figure or ROI Figure. But maybe those got bypassed during the installation ?

As for the OMERO version it's OMERO.web 5.3.4-ice36-b69 using the 64bit insight client.

Hi Laurent

The scripts are server-side scripts so you don’t need to install them in the client
The scripts are available in OMERO.web from the General pane in the right-hand panel. Click on the first icon of the series of 5 icons (icon looking like a grid)
The “Split View Figure” script should be available.

Thanks for reporting the issue.
We will need to investigate. Which version of OMERO are you using?

Cheers

Jean-marie

Hi,

Another question since it's a different problem.

Using the insight client of OMERO, there seem to be some scripts available that are not yet found on the web client (like Split View Figure, ROI Split Figure etc..), do they need to be installed separately in the client ?

Also it seems that these 2 mentioned scripts sometimes misbehave and select different LUT that the one selected.

See these screenshots with Green/Red channels but wrong LUT in the figure created:

[cid:part1.EFEF58C9.A01737F0 at unibas.ch]

[cid:part2.E0051BAE.985E343F at unibas.ch]

According to my colleague Alexia, this used to work until recently.

Any ideas ?

Thanks :)
