[ome-users] OMERO.web won't start

Hi Rob,

In your nginx directory should be nginx.conf that contains error_log and/or access_log.
When you started nginx did you get any warnings, errors?

I understand that you generated new config via bin/omero web config nginx and saved in appropriate location.
Restarted nginx to load new config and restarted OMERO.web

Dear all,

I've recently attempted to upgrade to OMERO 5.0.8 (ice35) and have made the change from Apache to Nginx.

Thus my troubles begin.

I'm initially doing this on a test server running Ubuntu 14.04.

OMERO.server runs. I can log in via Insight.
When I run omero web start, it says that it has started. But it's lying. Checking omero web status shows that it hasn't started at all.

I don't know what sort of logs you might need to debug this... happy to provide anything.

Any help would be much, much appreciated.
