Hi Shawn,

  Documentation on the API you can find

You say you are using the latest server code (4.2) but the getPlane  
function is not available?
I know nothing about Matlab, or whether all of the OMERO api is  
available to Matlab, but there are some example here that might be  
useful

There is a similar method in

I know it's Python, but the logic should be similar in Matlab?
