[ome-users] OMEIS potential bug

Hi,

I ran some simple "stress-testing" of the OMEIS that ran over the
weekend. I had a couple of scripts separately running curl that would
each upload a file ( one small, one 1gig+) using FileUpload, get the
FileID, then run DeleteFile.
However, it seems after some 5 thousand of these iterations of this
admittedly silly use-case, I am no longer able to upload those files or
get back a valid FileID. Through browsing, they do not seem present in
the OMEIS filesystem. The digest mechanism appears to be picking them up
as present then apparently some additional reading failed.

The curl output:
Error calling UploadFile: UploadFile failed.
System Error: No such file or directory
OMEIS Error: Error opening FileID=344: No such file or directory.
Error opening FileID=344: No such file or directory.

Perhaps it's the case that at some point writing the file failed while
the digest mechanism thinks that file still does exist in the system.
Not really sure. Does this make sense? Silly way to test, again, I know,
but I didn't have much disk space on this install nor time for a better
test.

TIA for any clarification, assistance, etc..
Gerald
