OME is glad to announce the next scheduled training workshop for OMERO Users. The second Dundee OMERO Users Workshop will start the morning of June 10 and end the afternoon of June 11, 2019.
The workshop will be held in the Dalhousie building at the University of Dundee, in Dundee, Scotland. Our first user workshop, held earlier in April was quite successful and we’re looking forward to another great run in June.

This workshop will cover use of OMERO and is targeted at researchers, imaging facility managers, and image analysts. We will demonstrate and provide hands-on practical experience using OMERO
for managing, analyzing and publishing your data. We will demonstrate these functions with data ranging from biological microscopy, high content screening, digital pathology to biomedical imaging.

We are planning a separate workshop in late September or early October that will focus on the development of applications that use OMERO (“OMERO for Developers”) and also that provide training
for running the OMERO application (“OMERO for DevOps”). However, for the June workshop, we’ll add one additional day-- June 12-- where we’ll welcome workshop attendees to join the OME team for a day to work on application development. This will be an optional,
informal programme where we’ll try to connect workshop attendees with OME team members to work through questions and any problems. We’ve seen that some workshop participants are developers who attend the user workshop to support their own users but also want
to integrate their applications with OMERO. The optional additional day will target these participants, with work on the OMERO API and integration of web apps.

To register for the meeting, fill out the form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1GAgiF8SAnF2HZpiu89ixh0Qm_2giniqA3XfTuojE7g8/edit. You don’t need edit access to fill out the form. Registrations
are open now and will be taken until midnight GMT, May 1. The registration form requests information on your research needs and your use of OMERO. Please fill this out considering the relevance of the workshop to your and your colleagues' research, as appropriate.
This information will help us screen applications in case we have more applications than workshop spaces. The form also asks if you’ll stay for the optional day for OMERO Developers, June 12. This is not mandatory and there is no preference given to registrants
who stay for the additional day or not.

no funds to support travel or accommodation at the workshop.
