I'm not aware of any comparisons between OpenJDK and Oracle, though if anyone else in the community has looked into it I'm sure they'll speak up.<br>

We generally recommend OpenJDK because it's included in the standard Linux distribution repos (<a href="http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/support/omero5.2/sysadmins/unix/server-centos7-ice36.html">http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/support/omero5.2/sysadmins/unix/server-centos7-ice36.html</a>)
and it's what we do most of our testing with.<br>
