<div>As many of you know, Microsoft is now upgrading Windows systems to Windows 10. This upgrade is a bit subtle—the package is labeled as an “Update for Microsoft Windows". It’s a completely new OS.</div>

<div>We will not be testing OMERO or Bio-Formats on the new Windows 10 OS for the next few weeks and would strongly discourage upgrading if you depend on OMERO or Bio-Formats. If you do upgrade, it is at your own risk, and we can’t provide any help or support
for this.</div>

<div>You can find full details of which Windows systems we support on <a href="http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/support/omero5.1/sysadmins/version-requirements.html">http://www.openmicroscopy.org/site/support/omero5.1/sysadmins/version-requirements.html</a>,
including current plans for what we'll support in our next major release of OMERO.</div>

<div>Just as an aside, please do careful with your imaging systems. Zeiss (<a href="http://blogs.zeiss.com/microscopy/news/en/important-information-regarding-the-release-of-windows-10/">http://blogs.zeiss.com/microscopy/news/en/important-information-regarding-the-release-of-windows-10/</a>)
and 3i have contacted users stating that this upgrade will break their systems. There may be others.</div>
