<div>We are aware that the new Java 8 update* has blocked essential OMERO workflows; once you upgrade, all OMERO clients except OMERO.web cannot connect to an OMERO.server, regardless of the Java version of the server (as reported on

<div>This affects both the 5.1.x and the 5.0.x releases of OMERO. </div>
