These are a few of the reasons why I switched.</div><div><br></div><div>1) gitolite is actively developed</div><div>2) gitolite error checks the config file – I locked myself out of gitosis once and it was a bit of a pain to fix.</div><div>3) gitolite groups are more flexible</div><div>4) gitolite allows users to create repositories without requiring an admin to create an entry for the repo in the config file.</div><div><br></div><div>1) seems like a pretty strong argument for a fresh install since gitolite functionality is a superset of gitosis and I don't think it was any harder to setup. 4) has been quite popular with some members of my group.</div><div><br></div><div>Best wishes,</div><div><br></div><div>Greg.</div><br><div>
