Dear All,

Please note we have published an addendum to https://www.openmicroscopy.org/security/advisories/2017-SV4-guest-user/ today.

If you are employing the workaround, there is an extra step you’ll need to carry out if you are deploying OMERO.web.

Also note that both OMERO 5.3.5 and the workaround disable the forgotten password reset functionality in OMERO.web.

Regards,

The OME Team

Dear All,

Today we are releasing OMERO 5.3.5. This is a security release - see the security advisory https://www.openmicroscopy.org/security/advisories/2017-SV4-guest-user/ for further details.

It is highly recommended that you upgrade your server.

If you have not yet upgraded from 5.2.x because you are using Windows to host your server, there is a guide for migrating to Linux while upgrading to 5.3.x at https://docs.openmicroscopy.org/omero/5.3.5/sysadmins/windows-migration.html

The software is available at https://www.openmicroscopy.org/omero/downloads/

Any problems or comments, please use the forums or mailing lists https://www.openmicroscopy.org/support/

Regards,

The OME Team
