[ome-devel] Release of OMERO 5.2.0

Hi Christophe

OMERO 5.2 won't work with Postgres 8.4 at all, due to incompatibilities and bugs which are fixed in later versions of Postgres. If you're planning ahead and are happy to create a new VM which is future-proof then you should use CentOS 7, along with the latest upstream Postgres (9.4).

Hi Josh,

As I said just in the previous email, I don’t particularly care, as long as I can somehow run OMERO safely.

I was under the impression that my current pSQL version would not work at all anymore if i would upgrade, but I guess you just don’t offer support, but it would in principle still work. Or should I not go down that dark path ?
