A few questions:

 * what OS?

 * why particularly r2805. For example, a few commits later (r2812)
   there's a fix with your name on it. :)

 * have you been able to build that version before, and if so, what's
   changed?

I've run into the same issue with ivy.dep.file & some ant
versions. I'll try to reproduce and suggest a workaround, but even if
you won't be upgrading any time soon to 4.x, it might make sense to
consider upgrading your server to a later 3.1 or 3.2 release.
